Avoid plastic containers: Healing thyroid

bottle-thumb-curlI was watching a video on how to heal your thyroid that was taped by a physician who gave advice and information on what to do if you have a thyroid issue.

One of the main ways I have already followed the physician’s advice is to give up the soft water bottles. I use BPA-free water bottles so that I do not add “fake” hormones into my body.

She called them “xenobiotics”.

A medical dictionary definition of “xenobiotics” is the following:

“foreign organic compounds not produced in metabolism.”

Xenobiotics is “fake hormones” that get introduced into our bodies caused by the plastics. How much do we already mix-up our hormones with the daily diet of regular, fast-food, and using the microwave to heat up our ready-made meals?  It’s not good for us.

Drinking water or liquids out of those soft plastic bottles is no good for you because the plastic binds the elements that we need for our thyroid to function properly.

The “bad plastic”, or so I’ll call it, can also cause our lithium levels to go down.  Lithium puts us in a good mood and transports vitamin B-12, which we need for good brain health.

Buy BPA-free containers to carry water in.  They cost a little more, but the health you are saving is worth the extra cost.  It may help you recover from low-thyroid in the end.
